Tenda OS3 is a wireless outdoor Wi-Fi CPE unit with support for multiple AP/Station/WISP/P2MP/WDS Repeater/Router modes, supports 802.11a/n/ac standard in 5GHz band with speed up to 867Mbps. Contains 4x LAN ports 10/100 Mbps, supports passive PoE power supply or power adapter (power switch and adapter are included in the package). VPN Pass-Through, SSID Isolation, DDNS, DHCP, Transparent Bridge, VLAN tagging SSID, and other technologies. Tenda OS3 is suitable both for ISPs for providing and further spreading the Internet, and for security IT for connecting cameras, etc. Tenda OS3 supports many types of security 64/128 WEP,WPA-PSK,WPA2-PSK,WPA&WPA2-PSK,WPA,WPA2, ability to disable wireless network name (SSID) broadcast, VLAN for individual SSID, output power setting, and many other advanced network functions. Point to Point, Point to MultiPoint Tenda OS3 supports six operating modes
– Access Point – in this mode, OS3 is connected to the network using an Ethernet cable and broadcasts a wireless network.
– Station – OS3 connects to a WiFi network and provides connectivity for the LAN port it contains to connect another device using a cable. Yes ther WiFi network is no longer broadcasting.
– WISP – Client + Router – using this mode, OS3 connects to a WiFi network (WISP station/hotspot), separates the provider network from the local network using routing, and creates a home WiFi network with its own DHCP server. It also shares this local connectivity to its LAN port.
– P2MP – Point To MultiPoint – this one station communicates with several other stations in different locations, also referred to as PMP, PtMP.
– WDS Repeater – Wireless Distribution System Repeater – WiFi signal repeater in WDS system, the first router or AP is set in WDS repeater mode, Tenda OS3 will connect to this device in the same mode.
– Router – standard router with DHCP server support. Smart signal indicator
