Tenda AP5 contains a Broadcom chipset, which has a high real transfer rate and stability. The new chipset also brings with it a “green Wi-Fi mode”, which dynamically shuts down chip components and thus reduces active power consumption. Tenda AP5 provides five operating modes: Access Point In this mode, the AP5 is connected to the network via an Ethernet cable and transmits your wireless network. As it contains a total of 2 LAN ports, it also works as a switch, and it is also possible to connect another device using an Ethernet cable.
WiFi Signal Extension – Universal Repeater/Universal Range Extender – in this mode you select which WiFi network the AP5 should connect to and thus extend the signal where it is already weak or fluctuating. The WiFi name remains the same, the security and the password as well, the range will increase dramatically. It allows you to connect two or more AP/Extenders and thus increase the range of the wireless network to more distant places.
WISP – using this mode, the AP5 connects to a WiFi network such as an ISP, separates the provider network from your network using routing, and creates your home WiFi network with its own DHCP server.
Client + AP – this mode is very similar to the Universal Repeater/Extender mode, but in this mode it is also possible to set your own WiFi network, security, password, etc. AP5connects the first WiFi network, and creates a second WiFi network, both networks and devices communicate with each other directly in one LAN.
Station – AP5 connects to the WiFi network and provides connectivity for the two LAN ports it contains, for connecting two other devices via cable. Yes ther WiFi network is no longer broadcasting. AP5 is suitable for both small and medium-sized companies and households. Tender AP5 includes “Quick Setup” for quick and easy setup in a few steps. Thanks to the manual in and Polish, the installation and configuration of your new Wi-Fi AP/Extender will take you only a few minutes. Tenda AP5 supports many types of security, including the strongest WPA2-PSK security, the ability to disable your wireless network name (SSID), MAC address filtering, VPN, VLAN for each SSID, up to 8x different SSIDs with different security, output power settings, and more above-standard network functions.
