For non-stop operation, the Synology RX1217RP is equipped with redundant power supplies to enable automatic switching in the event of a failure of one of the power units. If it is created as a stand-alone volume, the Synology RX1217/RX1217RP also serves as another local backup destination for Synology RackStation. Reliable implementation immediately after connection The Synology RX1217/RX1217RP connects securely to Synology RackStation servers using a broadband extension cable that provides maximum data throughput and smooth operation – as if it were part of Synology RackStation internal drives. The SATA 6 Gb/s ensures that the installed drives offer high quality and outstanding data processing performance. Environmentally friendly and easy to manage Hibernate mode can be manually configured to start automatically after a period of inactivity. This saves not only energy, it also increases the life of the discs.
